Our Vision

We strive to enhance appreciation of music of all genres by purveying new and used vinyl, CDs, turntables, and books on music and musicians.

Our standards are high, and as such, we curate all incoming titles for quality and good value for our customers.

Our Story

Our store evolved from our owners’ passion for music of all types. We saw an opportunity to create something special for Door County, since in 2017 there were no official vinyl record stores in the area.

We opened in March, 2018 at 920 Egg Harbor Road, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, to fulfill the need for a good vinyl record store in Door County, Wisconsin. We moved to 325 Kentucky Street in February, 2019. It’s right behind Poh’s Corner Pub.

Much marketing and product research preceded our launch. Owners Alan Kassien and Steve Allen of Sturgeon Bay spent months readying the record collections already owned and acquiring thousands of top quality LPs and hundreds of 45s.

The store features a Loyalty Rewards Program which allows buyers to track stamps awarded at time of purchase using a virtual platform that eliminates the need for punch cards. Stamps accumulate towards rewards. Learn more

Paul Exworthy

General Manager

Paul is a music teacher and plays bass guitar in Big N Tasty Blues Band and Crooked Creek.  His musical tastes range from the blues to 70’s and 80’s classic rock.  Paul has collected vinyl from his teenage years and began to purchase more with the re-birth of the medium.  He recently found a Cheap Trick album at Bay Vinyl Records to replace the one lost years ago.

Mark Joanis

Mark’s expertise is very deep, especially in alternative, punk, metal, and indie music. He currently resides in Wausau with his wife Therese.
